Lucky you Debra to get such an amazing shot of this loon with a full wing spread. Very nice pic with great detail.

Thanks Clifford your feedback is always welcomed and appreciated.

Great job, Debra!! I know how quick they are, so bravo on getting the shot in focus!!! Well done!!

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Jane. Loons are always fun to try and photograph. Not too many left on the lake. It seems like the migration is into full swing.

Great opportunity that you had and you made a very nice shot out of it. Beautyful pose with the red eye visible. Despite the backlight the zoom option shows nice detail of the shoulder and the with pebble in the back

Debra Plett

Thanks Yves your feedback is always welcomed and appreciated. I was hoping the red would be noticeable.

Heather Mellon

Perfect timing on a great action shot and a memorable moment, Debra. Very nice detail and I love the motion you captured here.

Debra Plett

Certainly no time to compose the shot thank goodness I could crop a bit. Thanks for you feedback Heather.

Description
This Common Loon was busy diving for minnows and came up close to the dock that I was sitting on. I managed to get one quick picture of the wing stretch before the loon dove under the water and came back up to the surface quite a distance away.
